This cute British walk is the perfect walk for Easter Bank Holiday weekend if you want to stay. Wy Valley Walk is a 142-mile trekking that introduces the most beautiful scenery in Wales and the UK.
It passes along the natural route of one of the longest rivers in the UK. This can be followed from its source to its mouth during a walk. It starts in the remote Hafren forest in the heart of Mid Wales, and emerges from the Wales countryside, snakes through Herefordshire orchards and farmland, carving limestone valleys as you approach the mighty rivers of the Severn River. If you plan on hiking the whole thing, it will take 8-14 days, but don't worry if you want to complete some of it. You can pick it up at any time along the route and walk as long as you feel better.
From a difficulty perspective, walks are between moderate and intense, but if you're looking for something that's not too challenging, there are some stretches that are easier than others.
One visitor on Tripadvisor said: “A beautiful walk. We stayed in Monmouth and from there we walked to Simondoyat on the first day.
“We walked along the River Wy for about two hours. There was a stunning view. Don't take a walk too easily.
“On the second day, I walked south to Landogo and visited Credon Schute Falls.
“We'll start off with about 3-4 hours along the river, along the forests and paths, and then return to Redbrook via the road for a drink that we've earned well next to the river. This is one of the most beautiful places in the UK.”
You can start a walk at Pullinlimon and end at Chepstow, where the River Severn ends.
