We all need many holidays to escape our daily lives and help with resetting. The types of holidays you enjoy will change the destination you go to, but most of us prefer to spray into other countries to absorb the sun or get stuck in some activities.
But travelling abroad can be expensive, and that's not something we all have the luxury of being able to afford. And while the UK's “staycations” may be fun, they don't always capture the magic of being transported to another place.
But there is one place here in the UK, and it makes you feel like you've stepped into a “fairy tale.” This place is known as the “most romantic trail” in the UK, and many couples have made it the background to their proposal.
Anyone who lives in the UK will find the stunning location relatively close, but if you live in Wales, this place is abandoned with stones.
A video from Tiktok shared by the Adventure Amore account showed a gorgeous view of Aber Falls in Snowdonia National Park (also known as Eliri National Park), leaving commenters behind.
Avar Falls is a fascinating waterfall located at the foot of Carnedo Dow and is part of the final descent on Afongocci (Red River) into the Menai Strait. The waterfall plunges from 120 feet tall, with a shallow rocky pool below.
But one of the most impressive things about Avar Falls is how accessible it is. Such a gorgeous waterfall requires a dangerous hike where only the most seasoned adventurers are brave, but the Snowdonia National Park website lists Aber's Walk as “accessible to everyone” and is only 4.5km long.
Aber Falls is also just a short distance from the A55. This means you can park your car in the car park at the start of the trail and walk straight to the waterfall.
The caption for the Tiktok video explains: “Abar Falls is a place where love and nature intertwines, setting the stage straight from fairy tales. This enchanting trail passes through the magical forest.
“As you emerge from the forest, the breathtaking view of Abbers Falls is revealed – a towering cascade that rolls into a crystal clear pool surrounded by sturdy beauty, the perfect place to pause, embrace the moment and feel completely lost in nature.
Video commenters couldn't believe that “hidden gems” were found in rural Welsh. Many said they wanted to propose to their partners in front of the waterfall, while others believed they had to spurt around the world.
One said: “I was engaged here. It's the most special place.”
Another addition: “I was here, it's so peaceful and magical.”
Avar Falls is also just two miles south of the village of Avarginglelin and you can stop by for lunch before or after a visit to the stunning countryside around the town.
