Travel enthusiasts are ecstatic by the incredible views of one wonder of the world from this affordable Airbnb.
We all do a lot of different things we want to put on our bucket list. Often people achieve their travel goals, such as taking route 66 in America, visiting every continent in the world, and seeing the seven wonders of the world in their lifetimes.
Most wonders in the world are far from Britain, including Petra in Jordan, Chichen Itzza in Mexico, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal in India, and Christ the Savior of Brazil. This means getting there and planning a trip across the country can become an expensive problem that many have to wait years to save.
Fortunately, we are the Roman Colosseum, one of the wonders of the European world. The average flight from the UK to Rome is over two and a half hours, and there are often good deals that make it affordable to see the incredible sites that historic cities have to offer.
Accommodations are usually expensive in big cities, but one recent traveler to Italy claims you can find cheap Airbnb rooms just outside the Colosseum.
On Instagram, @_art3m15 stated:
The balcony, set with romantic tables and chairs for guests to enjoy, looks like a straight scene from the ROM COM. Travelers said they were able to type in “a cozy room in front of the Colosseum” and find the perfect accommodation. A private bathroom, this small and charming double bedroom is perfect for a romantic Roman retreat.
The Airbnb hosted by Marco Valerio is described as follows: “The rustic shabby chic design, a historic building staircase from the Colosseum, creates a cozy atmosphere. Enjoy the bathroom in the room.
“For an unforgettable experience, you can step into the terrace, enjoy wine with views of the Colosseum, and the main landmarks are within walking distance, with metros and buses nearby to explore the best of Rome.”
There is free street parking, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, WiFi and of course the city skyline view.
@_artm315 managed to bag the room for £60 a night, but it appears that the price has risen to £104 a night due to popular demand. Airbnb offers 5 night holidays at the property for £519.
One individual commented on the post, saying, “Even if you live in Rome, it's definitely worth booking it.” “Jealousy is an understatement,” another added.
Another comment said: “As an Italian, amazing! It was very valuable! It's actually very affordable and inexpensive (for me) I've been to a more expensive hotel in a big city.
Another traveler who stopped there said, “I stayed here. It was amazing!! We set up a little picnic for the sunset. It was very blessed.”
Another guest left a review on Airbnb and said, “The accommodation was absolutely everything promised. The hosts were beautifully organized, checked in and everything else was easy. Of course, the location is amazing!
You need to be careful not to fall into a tourist trap. Highly recommended! ”
Airbnb has some availability throughout April, but is booked for three weeks in May. There is ample availability for the summer months and the rest of the year.
