If you're craving for the crowdless spring sun, there's one gorgeous beach with plenty of room to stretch, and it's 22C in April. Nissi Beach, near Ayia Napa, Cyprus, features 600m of white sand that sways gently with crystal clear water and sand. According to a survey conducted by Wizz Air, it is Europe's most uncrowded and warmest beach during shoulder season.
With a four and a half star rating on TripAdvisor, the beach ranks 15th in the top 73 to visit when visiting Cyprus, and visitors are thrilled with its gorgeous views and vibrant atmosphere. One visitor wrote about the trip on TripAdvisor:
“Clean water and golden sand, what else can you want?”
Another wrote: “The view here is absolute. Great. The beach is very clean and the ocean is amazing. I highly recommend visiting for the day. Beautiful beaches, the water is pure and clear. It's one of the best beaches I've been to this year and even better than Thailand.”
To determine overcrowded beaches, Wizz Air analyzed over 50 countries in Europe and its top beaches, then measured the beach, splitting the area by the size of a beach towel, and dividing it by the average number of visitors each day, finding it quietest.
By combining these insights with weather data, Wizz Air has uncovered an ideal destination that offers not only room to relax, but also the best conditions to start summer early.
Communications Director Andras Rado said, “There are countless hidden coastal gems that many know us, but we know iconic European beach spots like Ibiza and the Algarve, but are often unnoticed. At Wizz Air, we are passionate about helping travelers discover these lesser known treasures, from secluded bays in Croatia to Albania's Sandystretch away from the crowds.”
