Cruise passengers were urged to pack one item into carry-on baggage at all times | Cruise | Travel

Holiday packaging is a laborious process that takes time and tissue to ensure that none of the important things are left behind.

However, since many cruise lines have formal and themed nights, there's something like a dress code, so packing a cruise can be even more headaches. This means you can wear the most fashionable flock and dinner suit along with shorts, t-shirts and raincoats to cover all your bases.

Not only do you think about what to pack in your main suitcase, you also need to consider your carry-on baggage. And when it comes to cruising, it's more worth packing it in a carry-on bag than usual.

When you go on a cruise, checked luggage is usually delivered to the cabin on board between the late afternoon and evening, but the exact time depends on the ship, voyage time and the amount of luggage staff.

If you're one of the lucky ones, you may find your suitcase arrived in your cabin shortly after you boarded, but for some, the wait can be much longer.

Therefore, cruise experts recommend that you always pack one item in your carry-on baggage in case the bag takes a long time to arrive.

Along with travel documents, passports, money and medicines, you should always keep them on hand anyway, but passengers are always advised to pack one spare outfit.

Cruise critics say it's worth having a spare outfit with carry-on baggage, just as there's something clean before dinner.

That way, you will give you a new opportunity after likely a long day of travel to get on the boat. Also, if you have space, you'll be packed with swimsuits in your carry-on car so you can enjoy the pool or jacuzzi right away, without having to wait for your bag.

The cruise critic said: On boarding day, leave a large bag with a porter on the dock. It's not uncommon for that package to take hours for it to arrive at the cabin.

“To make sure you have something clean to replace before dinner, add underwear and clothes to your carry-on, tote, or backpack. Choose clothes that are at least slightly wrinkle-resistant (in other words, no linen).

“You might also want to throw a swimsuit in case the rest takes years for them to appear and you're planning on maximizing your pool time on the first day.”
