The picturesque town surrounded by mountains makes it an ideal place for your next stay. For those looking for a relaxing retreat with unparalleled views, Keswick in Cumbria is the perfect destination.

Despite its small population of less than 5,000 people, the town attracts a wide range of visitors from afar due to its amenities and stunning scenery. Located just north of Darwenn Water in the Lake District, this area offers ample day trip opportunities to fill your weekly itinerary. You'll find yourself immersed in miles of beautiful scenic walks featuring tourist attractions such as the Catbells, The Jaw of Borrowdale and Skidd, one of England's longest peaks.

A visit to Keswick is not complete without a slow walk along the coast of Derwentwater, nor without capturing the reflections of the lake's mountains.

Another trail that offers breathtaking views of the town and surrounding mountains is Lutrigg, the closest to the town. Located 3 miles from the town centre, it takes about 2-2-5 hours to reach the summit.

After absorbing the scenery, relax in one of the town's charming pubs and venues. Notable spots include King's Arms Restaurant, surrounded by boutique shops, Vaccent Weight Lake Station, a cafe on a 1930s-style train, and Brasserie, a hidden gem surrounded by the foothills of the mountains.

In 1276, King Edward I awarded the town his honorable market charter. Over 60 food stalls bring to life every Thursday and Saturday to provide residents with an eclectic mix of local produce, artisan crafts and a lively atmosphere.

Currently, there are two vast parks, short walks from Market Square, a completely pedestrian zone. Hope Park is renowned for its exquisitely maintained gardens, but Fitz Park offers a heaven for kids with plenty of space for playgrounds, BMX tracks, ball games and picnics.

The town's Rodor Falls hotel and spa have recently won national headlines and the name of the UK's “Best Destination” spa. It has been praised by the Good Spa Guide and was celebrated as “the perfect combination of romance, luxury and lakeside adventures.”

Keswick also has a wealth of attractions. From the Alhambra cinemas from a century ago to the theatre by the lake, and the ancient Castlerig stone rings dating back to four thousand years. No matter how you spend your time, you'll always see the breathtaking views of Keswick.
