EasyJet will launch its longest flight to the 25C beautiful island in March | Travel News | Travel

EasyJet's longest flight will be launched later this month on a stunning African island while boasting Caribbean-like weather and beaches. The new route will be the first route for budget airlines to be launched from London Gatwick later this month.

Cape Verde is a West African island state and archipelago of the Central Atlantic Ocean, and consists of 10 volcanic islands located in an area of approximately 1,550 square miles. They are about 400 nautical miles west of Cape Verde, the westernmost tip of the African continent. The Cape Verde Islands form part of the ecoregion, including the Azores, Canary Islands, Madeira and Wild Ave Islands.

Currently, Britons can fly to Cape Verde with Tuy, who has routes from London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Newcastle.

But that has changed later this month, with holiday people having more options when flying from the UK's second busiest airport.

The new route begins on March 31st and will be open three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The flight lasts an impressive six hours, but Cape Verde uses its timezone an hour behind the UK (CVT), making Brits get extra time to explore the stunning island on the first day. Passengers will take off from the UK at 11:30am and land at 3:40pm.

On launch day, Lucking Travellers could jump off EasyJet on a weekly holiday for just £230.98 per person, according to the EasteJet website. Later we left the monkey, took off at 4:35pm and returned to England just after midnight.

Gatwick-Sal flights operate from Belfast to Hurghada, Egypt, and rival the longest flights of budget airlines that take around six hours.

Most tourists visit Saru or Bol, the home of the main holiday resort. Often referred to as “African Answer to the Caribbean,” it boasts beautiful weather and stunning white sandy beaches.

Travelers flock to SAL during the dry season from November to May. During these months, the weather is generally warm, with temperatures in the range of 25-30c. Humidity levels drop during this time of year and the lowest rainfall makes the weather completely comfortable while the sun never stops.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the blend of African and Portuguese cultures only after becoming independent in the 1970s. The population of approximately 600,000 (as of 2022) is primarily a sub-Saharan African and European heritage, primarily Catholic, whose official language is Portuguese, reflecting this heritage.

Santiago is the most populous island and home to the capital Praia. Here you can find local markets, small cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops. Perfect for cooling off in the hot sun after a day. Since 2016, the History Center has been on the tentative list of World Heritage Sites.

One of my favourite beaches in Cape Verde is Santa Maria, a monkey. Santa Maria, a monkey, is popular with both sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts, and is dotted with colorful fishing boats. Boa Vista's Santa Monica is Boa Vista, an incredible white sand beach that stretches six miles to the southwest coast.
