Surrounded by beautiful scenery, this small European town is a great place to visit for a peaceful short break in Europe. Surrounded by the finest peaks of Hvar Island on the north coast, you will find the town of Jersa, a small town on Hvar Island in Croatia. Jelsa overlooks the crystal clear sea bay and makes it the perfect holiday destination.

Spend your time touring the lovely waterfront town of Jersa, known for its authentic cuisine, fine dining and local wine pairings. Seduce your taste buds with traditional restaurants, or the delicious flavors and fresh seafood dishes that Conovas offers the day.

One of the must-see beaches near town is Zabara Beach, just 18 minutes' drive away.

A Tripadvisor visitor said: “One of the most beautiful coasts on Hvar Island. A white pebbles beach with crystal clear water. Enjoy car rides to Zavala and scenic views from the road.”

Another wrote: “Absurd, stupid, amazing, heart-warming, wonderful beach! The water is so clear, sparkly and blue! One of the most amazing beaches I've ever been! Very, high, highly recommended!”

Another place to visit the area is Grapucheva Cave, located about 13 km southeast of Jersa.

According to the timeout, the cave contains prehistoric ceramics and depictions of Europe's oldest European boats.

A little distance from Jesra, the cave is one of the most popular places visitors can see while in town.

Two other important things to see in Gelsa are the Assumption Church and St. John Square, accompanied by the arrival of Renaissance and Baroque styles. Visitors often take a tribute to these structures, which are well known throughout Hvar Island.

A visit to Jersa can give you the opportunity to catch a sea plane between Jersa and Split if you want to enjoy incredible views of the Dalmatian capital and balance the bustling tourist hotspots of a quiet, secluded area.

Hvar Island has a UNESCO World Heritage Site than any other island in the world.

It is often found in the top 10 lists due to the beaches and clear seas that are loved by travelers.
