EasyJet has announced several new routes from the UK airport, starting in the winter of 2025-26. London South End Airport has added three new destinations, linking the airport to Barcelona, Spain, Lanzaroth and Salzburg, Austria. Flights to Barcelona will run twice a week starting October 26th, while services to Lanzaroth will be available three times the week starting October 27th. The new Salzburg Service will run twice as many weeks starting December 6th. LCC plans to start twice a week starting October 27th and introduce a one-year service to Lanzaroth. EasyJet also has increased its Spanish offers from Liverpool Airport, opening a new route to Gran Canaria from October 27th, opening twice a week.
Manchester – Boston Regional Airport (MHT) has confirmed that Spirit Airlines are not planning to return to the airport during the summer 2025 season. The airline provided one route to the airport flying from Orlando in the summer of 2024. However, JetBlue Airways has confirmed plans to launch a seasonal route from MHT to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on June 12th. It will be offered daily until October 25th using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Etihad Airlines plans to operate its Airbus A380 service every day at Toronto Pearson International Airport starting June 24th. According to OAG Schedule Analyzer data, services at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi are currently operating using A350-1000 devices. “This will strengthen the broader GCC and the Indian subcontinent, allowing more visitors to experience the vibrant city of Abu Dhabi,” says Alik De, Etihad's Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer.
Swiss carrier Edelweiss has launched a flight to Sarara, Oman. The airline will operate the double Zurich Muscat Sararazlich route, using Airbus A340-300 aircraft until May, until suspended until September. OAG data shows that Oman Air also offers flights to Oman Switzerland, operating four times a week between Muscat and Zurich.
The 2025 summer season schedule from Valencia Airport in Spain has 62 routes, including two new destinations. New routes added will be in Pescara, Italy and Poznan, Poland. ULCC will place seven aircraft on bases during the season. Meanwhile, Ryanair has also added three new routes from Alicante Airport, increasing its network from Spanish Airport to 90 destinations. Services have been launched in Bydgoszcz in Poland and Linz and Salzburg in Austria. The 18 aircraft will be based in Alicante during the summer 2025 season.

Bahrain's national airline Gulf Air has expanded its presence in the UK market by announcing the launch of a new direct flight to London Gatwick Airport. Starting March 30, the airline will operate three flights per week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using Boeing 789 aircraft. “We believe that this service will not only provide great travel options for Gulf Air passengers, but will also boost trade and tourism opportunities between the two countries,” a spokesman for Gulf Airlines said. The carrier already offers London Heathrow Airport twice a day, operating in Manchester five times the week.
Azerbaijan Airlines and Ural Airlines will expand their networks to Samarkand International Airport (SKD) and Uzbekistan, providing new direct services from Azerbaijan and Russia, respectively. Starting April 1st, Azerbaijan Airlines will launch double flights between SKD and Baku. Services are open on Wednesdays and Sundays. Meanwhile, Ural Airlines will launch weekly services between SKD and Krasnoyarsk, which will be released on April 1st. The flights will run on Tuesdays. “These flight connections will strengthen cultural, tourism and business connections between Uzbekistan and these two important countries, providing convenient and affordable air transport links for passengers.”
Wizz Air is expanding its network with new European routes, adding flights from Birmingham to Rome and Vienna to Arguero and Krakow from Sofia. The Birmingham-Rome Fiumicino route will be released on June 16th and will have triple flights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. From Vienna, ULCC will introduce flights to Basnia and Herzegovina, four times the week from June 15th. In Bulgaria, the airline will expand its operations in June with new routes. Flights to Alghero will run twice as many weeks starting June 19th, while the Kraków service will run three times a week from June 16th.
Air Baltic will increase flight frequencies to Amsterdam from all three Baltic capitals, starting on March 30th. The airline will run triple-day flights between Riga and Amsterdam and twice-day flights between Amsterdam and Tallinn and Vilnius. “Amsterdam is one of the most popular destinations in our network and we recognize that increasing flight frequency is a strategically important step for the Baltic region by closely monitoring market trends and passenger demand.”
Ryanair has announced its 2025 Belfast International Airport summer schedule, featuring 19 routes including new seasonal services to Lithuania's Kaunas. Frequency also rises to popular leisure destinations such as Malaga, Alicante and Malta. This expansion represents 16% growth in operations supported by two Belfast-based aircraft. Ryanair reopened its airport base in 2023.

Copa Airlines has announced the launch of a new route between San Diego and Panama City, Panama from June 25th. The service is run four times a week. San Diego will be the third destination and the 17th US route for the California airline. “The addition of San Diego will increase connectivity between Southern California and Central America, South America and the Caribbean, and promote tourism and commercial exchange across the continent,” says Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.
Flydubai has announced the launch of a flight to Antalya, Turkey, as part of its seasonal summer operations. Starting June 5th, Dubai-based carrier will operate daily services from Dubai International Airport to Antalya International Airport. The LCC will also resume seasonal flights to Bodrum and Trabzon from June to September. Turkey's Friedbai network includes six destinations: Ankara, Bodrum, Istanbul Airport, Istanbul Sabihagekkun Airport, Trabzon and Antalya.
Croatian Airlines has launched a new route connecting Hamburg Airport (HAM) with Zagreb, and will operate three flights a week starting July 1st. Hamburg will be the 30th destination in the carrier's network. The airline will deploy Airbus A220 aircraft on its route. “Croatia is already a very popular holiday destination for North Germans. Now there are even more options,” says Ham Head, aviation in Dark Behrens.
Zipea Tokyo, Japan, is to increase services between Tokyo Nara and San Joseminateta, California. The frequency will rise from 5x to 6x from May 6th to August 12th. Additionally, the airline will offer 5x the weekly round-trip between Tokyo and Vancouver from May 8th to August 14th.
ITA Airways launches codeshare flights from five Lufthansa Group airlines: Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air Dolomiti. The deal, which is valid for travel starting March 30th, will expand ITA Airways' network with over 100 new connections in the upcoming summer season. Lufthansa Group passengers can now book ITA Airways flights to domestic Italian destinations and flights to international routes via Roma Fium Sino and Milan Linnate. ITA Airways customers can then codeshare on Luftansa Group flights between their hubs in Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich and Brussels.

Indigo is scheduled to begin widebody operations between New Delhi and Bangkok from March 1st. The frequency with the Boeing 787-9 is daily. The move follows the guidance of a wet leaking aircraft from Nordic Atlantic Aviation. “The early adoption of our widebody aircraft marks an important milestone in our journey,” says Peter Elbers, CEO of Indigo. “Starting between Delhi and Bangkok, we are planning to move from midsummer to Europe.” It is understood that the Indian LCC has applied for slots in Amsterdam and Copenhagen, but is also exploring the launch of routes to London and Paris.
Ryanair checked its summer schedule from Palma de Marolca in Spain. ULCC offers a total of 80 routes, including two new connections to Hamble Krubeck in Germany and Pardubice in the Czech Republic. Ryanair will place 16 aircraft in Parma during the summer of 2025. The move says it will support more than 6,900 local jobs. Meanwhile, the airline plans to offer 33 routes from Ibiza and 19 routes from Menorca.
The Hungarian Wizz Air has increased frequency across two routes: Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Flights to Basel, Switzerland, will rise six times from March to late May to late October, running three times a week. Operations in Germany's Dortmund will also grow from double to triple from March. ULCC offered both routes twice a week during the summer 2024 season.
Avelo Airlines has dropped four routes. The airline will end two services at North Carolina Airport on March 30 from Bradley International Airport (BDL) near Hartford, Connecticut. Wilmington International Airport (ILM) and Concord Paget Airport (USA) near Charlotte. Abelo will also drop services from Wilmington, Delewaré (ILG) to both Atlanta (ATL) and the United States on February 27th. An Abelo spokesman told Aviation Week that the airline has decided to “consolidate Connecticut services with a focus on Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) and BDL's international services.” The route is “low demand,” an Abelo spokesperson said. “While we are ending these four routes, we are trying to fill flight times with the frequency of additions to existing cities and potential new markets.”

The Korean Air will begin the route twice as much as April 18th, between Seoul Incheon Airport and Kobe, Japan. The flight will be operated using a mix of Boeing 737-900 and 737-8 aircraft. According to data provided by the airline OAG Schedule Analyzer, the airline will become the sole operator of non-stop services between destinations. Kobe, a city in the Kansai region, is the 15th city in Japan where the atmosphere of Korea serves.
Gol Linhas Aéreas has opened a new route between Belém, Brazil and Miami. Flights begin on June 15th and will be open twice a week on Thursday and Sunday. The launch will take place as we prepare to host COP30, the 30th UN Climate Change Conference, which will be held from November 10th to 15th. “In addition to meeting travel demands related to major global events with the potential to expand the frequency offering by GOL, the route is an option to further connect the Northern Region and Brazil to the United States,” the GoL statement said.
North Atlantic Airways is expanding its services to Bangkok during the winter of 2025-26. The carrier is scheduled to launch a new route from London Gatwick Airport to Bangkok Valnabumi International Airport starting October 26th, with the company being open up to four times a week. “This addition not only strengthens the inter-Asian network, but also builds on existing routes from London Gatwick to Atlantic and South African destinations,” says Nordic CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen. Furthermore, Scandinavians will increase Oslo and Bangkok from three to four times a week from December 3rd, while Stockholm, Allanda and Bangkok will double twice a week from December 5th.
Air Canada will be adding flights to Vancouver and Montreal this summer, increasing the capacity of its routes from Dublin and maintaining service to Toronto throughout the year. The expansion follows a temporary suspension of passenger caps at Dublin Airport. Starting May 2, the airline will be running the Dublin and Vancouver routes five times a week, three, and flights to Montreal will run four times a week from June 2. All routes are provided by Boeing 787 aircraft.
Flag of Moroccan – Carrier Royal Air Mallock is set to launch a new service from Casablanca to London Stansted this summer. Starting June 24th, flights will operate three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday using the Boeing 737-800. “The service is designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers, and offers a convenient way to provide connectivity to the broad network of Royal Airmallocks across Africa while exploring Morocco's largest cities,” the airline's statement said.
