South Africa Tourism officially opened the buyer registration for African Travel Indava (ATI) 2025, inviting buyers who have not been hosted and non-hosted buyers since March 3rd. The announcement marks the next stage in preparation for one of the major travel exhibitions in Africa, which will be held at the Incosial Bahtultuli Convention Centre in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, from May 12-15.

Under the theme of “Unlimited Africa,” this year's ATI aims to highlight the continent's endless tourism opportunities, while driving strategic conversations about sustainable growth and economic impact. The event brings together key stakeholders from around the world, including exhibitors, buyers, travel department exhibitors, buyers and thought leaders.

“As tourism plays an important role in economic recovery and job creation, Africa's Travel Indava continues to develop meaningful dialogue, strategic partnerships and nurture Africa's unique tourism offerings around the world. We look forward to welcoming industry leaders, representatives and stakeholders in collectively shaping the future of Africa's tourism,” said Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille.

According to South Africa Tourism figures, the previous edition of ATI welcomed a record 9,280 registered representatives and 1,200 exhibitors, generating an estimated R226 million (11.7 million euros) in the direct economic impact of Durban, and R333 million (17.2 million euros) across various sectors.

The 2025 event will be held again in collaboration with Etekwini Metropolitan Municipal and KwaZulu-Natal Tourism and Film Authorities to strengthen Durban's position as the premier destination for global trade events.
