Many people wonder what it's like to live abroad.
After all, many dreams are dreams of being able to soak up the sun and relax in your spare time by the pool. However, it is normal to wonder if fantasy actually matches reality.
One woman recently shared the costs of a supermarket shop while living in Spain, giving us insight into this. Geo, known as the Geoin Spine of Tiktok, often documents her life as living abroad.
She told people that many common items cost her and incorporate a dishwasher tablet containing it for 5.95 euros. This works for £4.91.
Geo also received a packet of four bagels, priced at 4.50 euros. This is equivalent to £3.71.
She admitted that she didn't buy dairy products as she lived in Spain. Her almond alternative was 1.25 euros, which came in at 1.03 pounds.
Geo bagged four apples worth £1.24 in the bag for 1.50 euros. In addition to this, she bagged one liter of juice for 1 euro. This works at 83p.
She also picked up a few other items she was talking about in the video. However, she gave some good advice.
When it comes to fruits and vegetables, Geo claims it's “much better” to go to a fruit or vegetable store to pick up what you want. She says that if you're shopping in Spain, it's better to do that.
In the video, Geo admitted that she was quite “not in contact” at UK prices, so she doesn't know how they compare. She wanted to reach out to people and let her know.
The video has been viewed dozens of times since it was shared, and people quickly commented. They had all sorts of ideas.
One said: “Undoubtedly cheaper than the UK.” Another addition: “I've never been to the UK in four or five years. I don't know what the price is over there. I think chicken is expensive, but I don't know what it compares to in the UK.”
The third responded: “Think about the salary there too.” Meanwhile, the fourth commented: “I go to the market for fresh fruits and vegetables.
“Supermarkets tend to be more expensive. I just bought blueberries today – 8.50 euros. It almost fell on the floor.”
