Middle Eastern airline Gulf Airlines is to strengthen its UK presence with services to London Gatwick ahead of the summer season.
Airlines already operated in London's Heathrow fly three times a week from Bahrain.
Gulf Air says it will deploy Boeing 787-9 on a new route that starts on March 30th.
The aircraft's configuration includes 26 seats in a business class cabin.
Gulfair says Gatwick's tactics will “complete” the current London flights. The airline uses 787 on the Heathrow link.
“The expansion reflects the growing demand for travel between (Bahrain and the UK),” he said, adding that the connection is a “critical step” to expand the airline's network.
“We believe that this service will not only provide Gulf Air passengers with great travel options, but will also boost trade and tourism opportunities between the two countries.”
