British tourists wake up at 6:30am to get the best sunbeds and can't believe what she finds | Travel News | Travel

British tourists were excited to enjoy her deserved holiday in a luxurious five-star hotel in Egypt.

Setting the alarm at 6:30am, Mrs. May, who runs the Tiktok account @themrsmay, quickly grabbed the front row seat to the pool area.

“If you can't beat them, join them,” she said.

However, due to her shock, she arrived and found that almost all of the sunbeds were reserved with beach towels and no one was using them.

“It's 6.30 in the morning and I've already seen it and most of these sunroungers have been filmed, and I'm literally not alone here.”

“There's absolutely no one,” Tiktker continues, walking by the pool, showing all the beds with towels lying on them, “just tie the towel to the sun lounger.”

“I actually think it's too late,” she said in despair. “All the sunbeds in that front row have been filmed. We have to go to the back row.”

Mrs. May shares her complaints about the villa that acts such selfishness, saying, “Hotel, they move them and remove them. I am so seduced. Not now, when we get off and actually stay here that day.”

It didn't take long for tourists facing the same problem to share their experiences in the comments section. The person said: “I'm moving the towels when no one is around/I don't care. Put them on the floor and spend my day.”

“The hotel doesn't need to allow this,” another wrote. “They should remove the towels. I refuse to stay anywhere that allows this selfish behavior.”

Another revealed that the hotel they stayed in came up with a clever system to stop the problem. “I went to a hotel with a reservation system. Once you arrive, choose where to go and they will be your lounger for your entire stay.”

One tourist even enjoys watching the scene unfold when the holiday maker finally arrives. Therefore, there are 20 towels in one chair.

“Then I'm sitting and watching. It's so much fun.”

The so-called annual sunbed war seems to be in motion this year. A couple who went on vacation to Portugal last year were so frustrated that their bed was being taken away that they decided to wake up at 1am to book.

Amy, 20, said: “The hotel had to pay 7.50 euros (£6) each for the bed if they didn't get a specific sunbed.

“I know it's crazy, but it's normal to do it here.”
