    Frequent crashes of planes reduce America's confidence in air travel – FirstPost

    Frequent plane crashes in 2025 resulted in 64% of American flyers saying that travel per air is somewhat safer, indicating flooding from 71% recorded last year. I'm thinking about it.

    A poll by AP-NORC found that two in 10 Americans believe air travel is very or somewhat unsafe, a 12% decline since 2024. .

    Last year, an AP-NORC survey showed that 45% of the US were confident that pilots would fly them safely to their destinations, while 20% trust the federal government. . This year, these numbers have fallen to 41% and 13%, respectively.

    Public confidence in air traffic controllers also fell from 40 Americans last year to 35% this year.

    Airplane accidents surge

    In recent weeks, multiple aviation accidents have occurred. On January 30, an American Airlines aircraft and a military helicopter collided with the Potomac River in Washington, DC, killing all 67 people in both vehicles. The tragedy marks the most fatal aviation incident in the United States since a crash in 2009 near Buffalo, New York, claiming that all 49 passengers and crew were on the ground. .

    Another tragic Air Force accident followed by a crash in DC, where a mother, child and four others crashed in a Philadelphia neighborhood, killing seven people.

    On February 6th, a small commuter plane carrying 10 people crashed in western Alaska near Norton Sound, resulting in everyone on board.

    Earlier this week, a Delta jet carrying 80 passengers and crew crashed into Toronto Pearson Airport, overturning the impact. Twenty-one individuals were hospitalized, but none of them died.

    “Is it safe to fly?”

    A series of plane crashes have led to searching for “Is flight safe in 2025” or “Airplane crash” and “Why does the plane crash?”, according to multiple media reports.
