World traveler and popular YouTuber Drew Binsky explores every country on Earth, ranking all 50 European countries, and his most favourite may not be what you expect. It's not possible.
Known for its fascinating documentaries on global culture and travel experiences, Binsky is a country that has been rated on factors such as familiarity, affordability, cuisine, nightlife, historical significance, and reliability.
Despite its grand religious and artistic importance, Vatican City was ranked at the bottom of his list.
Functioning as the headquarters of the Catholic Church, Microstate is home to iconic landmarks such as St. Peter's Cathedral and Sistine Chapel.
However, Vinsky found this experience overwhelming because of the logistical challenges of the visit.
“There are no hotels to stay overnight,” he explained. “If you try to sleep on the street, you'll be arrested. That's where you'll visit for a few hours.”
He also warned of long lines of major Vatican attractions and advised tourists to arrive early or invest in a fast pass ticket.
While Vinsky acknowledged the Vatican's undeniable cultural and historical values, he believes it is a one-off visit rather than a place where travelers return again and again.
Despite his criticism, the Vatican remains a global tourist hotspot, attracting millions of visitors each year for its artistic and religious treasures.
While Vatican Museums boast an extraordinary collection of ancient sculptures and Renaissance masterpieces, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, painted by Michelangelo, is considered one of the greatest achievements in art history.
On the other side of the ranking, Vinsky crowned the Czech Republic as the top destination in Europe.
He praised its stunning Gothic architecture, medieval charm and affordability, including the £2 beer charm.
Other outstanding destinations in his ranking include the friendly people in Europe, the friendly people in Spain, their incredible food and nightlife, the breathtaking nature of Iceland It described its beauty, and its rich history and cultural resilience as home to several Ukrainian homes.
