A survey of 2,000 UK vacationers has announced 40 essential items for travelling abroad. The result is a unique mix of British comfort and tradition.

The comfort of the home is clearly important. Even thousands of miles away, British people pack tea bags and enjoy daily stir-fry.

A poll conducted by packaging holiday site Icelory.com found that 36% of Britons didn't leave their homes without tea bags in their suitcases, but the quarter filled their cravings by stuffing them with biscuits.

As for activities, the holidays will not be complete without some classic dul. Four in 10 (44%) said beach trips are essential, followed by sunbathing by the pool (38%).

Other essentials include watching a soccer game at the sports bar, sitting on the balcony with just a towel after taking a shower, and starting a trip with airport drinks.

To celebrate these beloved traditions, Icelory.com has launched the “Brit Abroad Awards” to feature iconic clips of their classic holiday habits to help holiday makers win all inclusive trips We encourage you to share.

The survey shows that it is unmistakable that it is overseas in the UK, so 79% of respondents say it's easy to find a fellow Brit on vacation.

Common stereotypes for British people abroad include sunburn (54%), a bit loud (46%), or visibly intoxicated (40%). Almost half say they saw British people hanging in socks and sliders watching, while 34% have witnessed the spontaneous football chant erupted.

Steve Seddon of Icelory.com commented: About washing.

“These timeless traditions make the packaging holiday special and we are excited to celebrate them at the Britt International Awards.”

The survey also admits that 48% drink during the day when they're away, 35% take daily naps, and 31% enjoy chatting with random strangers on vacation. As such, other UK holiday habits have been revealed.

In the “true” Holiday Spirit, 9% confessed that they would experience a “holiday romance” with a mysterious partner whose name has never been caught.

Despite the appeal of the sun, sea and sand, saving money remains a top priority. Polls show 85% of Britons prioritize saving money on vacation, 55% hunt flight deals and over half are looking for cheap accommodation.

Seddon continued: “A holiday is a time when you really get off, release and enjoy every moment without judging.”

The study also gave insight into other UK holiday habits. 48% eat a drink during the day, 35% take a daily nap, and 31% enjoy chatting with random strangers on vacation.
