Visa has launched the “Tap To Add Card” service in Ukraine, Georgia and South Africa. Cardholders can now add bank cards to their mobile wallets via NFC by simply tapping their card on their NFC phones.
“With increased security and convenience, adding cards eliminates the tedious process of manual entry, common sources of errors, and vulnerabilities exploited by fraudsters who try to infringe sensitive card information. “We'll do that,” Visa says.
“TAP generates unique one-time code validated by Visa's Chip Authenticate Service, ensuring secure provisioning of card credentials, and provides a much faster and safer alternative than traditional methods. I'll do that.”
“TAP TO ADD CARD is designed to benefit all stakeholders in the payments ecosystem,” adds Visa. “Cardholders who offer a similar experience to in-store payments can enjoy faster, more convenient and safer ways to add cards to their digital wallets, and will be able to adopt a greater adoption of digital payments. It can be promoted.
“For issuers, adding cards reduces the risk of fraud provisioning and associated costs, simplifies the wallet-to-wallet process, reduces customer service inquiries, and improves transaction approval rates.
“Similarly, with digital wallets, we tap on the card to follow the visa security standards, reducing the risk of card compromise and less card entry errors, so we promise potentially high token provisioning rates and new customers. It presents opportunities to introduce experiences.”
Tetiana Chorna, country manager at Visa in Ukraine, said: “This solution provides cardholders with peace of mind when adding cards to their digital wallets.
“We believe that TAP to TAP will help drive further adoption of Ukrainian digital wallets by addressing key security concerns and simplifying the user experience.”
“We look forward to being able to enhance the security and simplicity of the tap to add cards to Georgia,” adds Diana Kigraze, regional manager of visas in the Caucasus Region. “Using this technology to add cards to your digital wallet ensures privacy protection through advanced security measures.”
“As South Africans are increasingly accepting digital payments, they are set to tap and add cards to promote financial inclusion and improve contactless payment experiences,” South Africa's Country said. Head Lineshree Moodley concludes.
