The Petchus family, owners of Newlands vineyards and Stellenbosch's Ode Wharf, announced the acquisition of the Stellenbosch Hotel and Stellenbosch Kitchen, adding to its presence in the historic Wineland town. It's been strengthened. The acquisition strengthens the family's commitment to hospitality, heritage preservation and providing exceptional guest experiences.
A well-established, three-star heritage property, Stellenbosch Hotel joins the group's four-star deluxe hotel, Oude Werf, as part of its growing portfolio. Having a long-standing reputation for preserving and evolving historic property, the Petchusis family aims to celebrate the unique characters of the Stellenbosch Hotel while enhancing the guest experience.
Lex Petousis, CEO of both Stellenbosch Properties, oversees the transition and integration of hotels into groups. Looking back on the acquisition, he pointed out:

With this new acquisition, Petousis Group currently offers a total of 100 rooms. It offers 58 rooms at Oude Werf, 38 rooms at Stellenbosch Hotel and 4 two-bedroom apartments within 100 metres on vibrant Church Street. The purchase also includes Stellenbosch Kitchen, further enhancing the group's food and drink hospitality offering.
