Embraer and Southern African Airline Airllink have signed a spare parts inventory support agreement to strengthen the entire armored fleet of 68 airlines.
The transaction is a significant milestone as Airlink will become the first African airline to adopt Embraer's Joint Inventory Planning (ECIP) system.
ECIP is designed to optimize spare parts availability while reducing operational costs, and Airlink's ERJ and e-e across a vast network that includes destinations in South Africa, Madagascar, St. Helena and Ascension islands. – Supports Jets' fleets.
By joining ECIP, Airlink benefits from reducing prepaid inventory investments as Embraer absorbs most of the costs. Additionally, the program offers a constant annual pricing for each part, ensuring cost predictability while maintaining high performance standards through Embraer Services and support. The system leverages advanced data analytics and provides weekly inventory recommendations based on real-time inventory levels and usage patterns.
ECIP-registered airlines have access to Embraer's global logistics network and material management expertise to ensure efficient spare parts availability at an industry-leading service level.
Since 2001, the long-standing adoption of Embler Operator Airlink's ECIP has strengthened its commitment to operational efficiency and innovation in the African aviation sector.
