What began as a mission to build high-performance custom personal computers has evolved into something much larger for Vergio Tech Innovations Africa. Founded by Collins Imonlemen, the company is recognized for providing first-class computing solutions, but one of the most notable projects to date is working with the Nigerian Air Force, which will address the needs of the military. The goal is to develop a flight simulator that fits the game.
“For us, it's always been about pushing the boundaries of what's possible,” Imonleman said. “When the Nigerian Air Force approached us, they needed a system that could handle the most demanding real-time simulations and we knew we could provide it.”
Vergio started as Vergio Nigeria Enterprise in 2017, building custom games and workstation PCs for businesses, content creators and tech enthusiasts. Over time, its reputation for designing powerful, stable and efficient systems has attracted well-known clients, including businesses, churches and government agencies.

However, the projects with the Nigerian Air Force were different. Flight simulators require extreme accuracy, high computing power and real-time responsiveness. This is something only the most advanced systems can achieve.
“It wasn't just about putting together powerful hardware,” Imonlemen explained. “We had to create a system that mimics real flight conditions with zero-lug, crystal clear visuals and responsive controls. We had to feel like the real thing.”
Flight simulators are an important part of modern military training and reduce the risks and costs associated with live flight exercises. However, many African countries import such systems at exorbitant prices and rely on foreign companies for both hardware and software.
By developing locally built alternatives, Vergio not only provided cost-effective solutions, but also set a precedent for African innovation in defence technology.
“This project proves that we don't have to look outside of Africa,” Imonleman said. “There's expertise, resources and talent here.”
Following the success of flight simulators, Vergio is currently exploring more opportunities with military-grade computing, AI-driven simulation software, and high-performance workstations for professional industries.
The company's recent rebranding from Vergio Nigeria Enterprise to Vergio Tech Innovations reflects this bigger vision. This extends across the continent beyond Nigeria.
“We have always believed that Africa has what it takes to lead in technology,” Imonleman said. “The world is beginning to see that too.”
With an increase in portfolio, including partnerships with government agencies, financial institutions and content creators, Vergio is proving that technology built in Africa is ready to compete on a global scale.
