Africa has many large international airports that cater to millions of travelers around the world.
The largest airport on the continent is Tambo International Airport in South Africa.
The Air Hub is not only the largest in Africa in terms of passenger traffic, but it is also one of the busiest airports in the world.
It serves South Africa's economic capital, Johannesburg, and handles more than 21 million passengers a year.
However, Africa has many small airports, which are not important to the continent's general transportation infrastructure.
Perhaps one of the world's smallest airports is in Lesotho, a highland inland kingdom surrounded by South Africa.
The international airport in Lesotho was named Moshesius I after the first king of the country, who died in 1870 at a ripe old age of 84.
The airport is located near the town of Mazenodo, about 20km south of Maseru, the capital of Lesotho.
There are two passenger terminals, one for cargo and two runways, the longest of which is 10476 x 148 feet.
Since 1997, the country has not had its own official airline, so international flights are primarily operated by South African Airlines in Johannesburg.
Domestic flights are operated by Mission Aviation Fellowship and Mountain Airways.
The airport has received 3 out of 5 in its customer satisfaction survey and has received several mixed reviews.

“But airport stores (Vodacom, Banks, etc.) are largely abandoned, even if they have flights.
“You may or may not be lucky, or you may be able to purchase a SIM card from an AP in this area.
“And more, the main building can be done with a little TLC, paint everywhere and replace rotten ceiling tiles… maybe. The staff are generally friendly.”
