Nomad Tanzania's recent Safari Competition raised £13,100. Over the next few months of 2025, the funds raised will be used to host additional “MEDS” outreach clinics.
Nomad's “Beds for Meds” program will reach villages that go far beyond traditional healthcare networks – consider it the ultimate house call – using beds in nomad camps and their logistics networks Transporting specialized medical teams, these clinics provide important medical services to remote communities on the edge of Tanzania National Park.
The winner of the competition experiences a six-night stay across southern Tanzania and divides time between Ruah and Nierere. In Kigelia, Luaha – ancient Baobabs create a vast wilderness setting, while the sandy river, Nyerere offers a spectacular location along the mighty Rufiji River.
“We would like to thank everyone who participated in our safari competition. Every penny collected will have a real impact on adding clinics to our calendar. Over the past year or so, we have been working on “Beds for Meds “The program gave over 6,000. Individuals are opportunities to meet medical professionals, from ophthalmologists to dentists. ” says Lucy Cole, head of Nomad's conservation and community projects.
Guests explore these extraordinary wild places, but their presence supports concrete positive changes in the community. Every safari will become part of a larger story of conservation and community care.
