    Sun City is guided to the year of snakes – Tourist News Africa

    Sun International's flagship resort was the first time the Chinese community of South Africans roared in the year of snakes, at the forefront of renewal and prosperity.

    Chinese (Monday) New Year or Spring Festival is truly a global event. Every year, hundreds of millions of Chinese people cross the country to reunite with their families and seek vision during these long holidays. This year, the cards have recorded record domestic travel, marking the largest annual human migration on the planet.

    South Africa, boasting the largest Chinese community in Africa, is long over the mainland of China, featuring traditional red and gold regalia, unfortunate lion and dragon dances, gift exchanges and luxurious traditional delights It's been reflected in a while.

    At the two-day festival, from January 31st to February 1st, he worked with the Shunde Dining Entertainment Group as the South African leg of Sun City, an unlicensed global spring festival. A snake that tells you of wisdom, adaptability, and a sense of transformation. The legendary northwest resort was as smooth as ever in celebrating the arrival of the snake and showing off the abundant games, meals and adventure activities it offers.

    Sun City general manager Brett Hoppe said it is a privilege to share New Year's events with the Chinese community, who has made many contributions to the resort and Sun International Group over the years.

    “This is our way of celebrating the New Year to the Chinese community, which has been very important to us both domestically and internationally, saying “thank you.” Much of our game's growth can be placed in this market, especially from the Baccarat table.

    “Sun City has always been a very popular destination on the mainland. We were completely full of past Chinese New Years, and we also had a great time in South Africa as other communities are exposed to ancient Chinese culture. It's also important for cultural structures.”

    Hoppé added that the new visa regime centre for government trustworthy tour operators is important for tourism in South Africa as it is set up to reduce the complexity of acquiring travel documents for Chinese citizens.

    Diplomatic relations

    The event marks the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Africa and China. An elegant gala dinner at Suncity Arena, with various Chinese and South African officials, including representatives of businesses, local governments and traditional leadership, and one other guest, speaker, supporting China's Chinese I paid tribute to the community. Since the transition began in the 1870s, it has shaped the country's cultural and socioeconomic character.

    Northwest MEC for Social Development Basesana Sussana Dantjie said the celebration is key to strengthening relationships between the northwest government and Chinese investors in order to alleviate poverty and unemployment in the state.

    “The New Year celebration of the month is perfectly suited to the Northwest government's action programme centered on renewal, prosperity and bringing people together. This is all we support. We have a long strategy with Chinese companies. We have a relationship. Our entrepreneurs and businesses must benefit from this relationship. We hope that things will move forward positively for our community this year. ”

    In November 2024, representatives from the northwest and China's Henan provinces gathered to explore the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, mining and technology.

    “This is an excellent platform for cultural exchange between South Africa and China, and for South African Chinese to gather and celebrate Chinese New Year in their second home. Also, for Chinese culture and other South African communities. It helps to showcase the importance of the Spring Festival. It is only through cultural exchange that both countries can better understand each other, develop and strengthen friendships.”

    Beyond the breathtaking celebration, Sun City celebrated the long-standing bond between Sun International and the Chinese community, a relationship that spans over 40 years. Guests were immersed in the festival and embraced the tradition of emphasizing renewal, prosperity and strength of connection. As the new month's year begins, Sun City will remain a sign for hospitality and cultural exchange, ensuring that the spirit of celebration will continue to flourish for years to come.
