Focusing on flowing domestic passengers through hubs across eastern Canada and the Atlantic, Transat stands to build its presence in the Spanish holiday market.
“Spain is an essential destination for North American travelers, and this collaboration with Aeroipa will strengthen our relationship with the country while enhancing the overall travel experience,” said Transat Chief Revenue Officer. Sebastian Ponce said.
Montreal-based Transat identifies Bilbao, Ibiza, Lacorna, La Sparma, Palma de Marorca, Tenerife and Vigo as destinations available for flights that can intervene through Madrid's Aeroipers Hub.
Separately, Transat is expected to complete a joint venture with Canadian carrier porter airlines this year. The partners have been coordinating the Canada-European route since June, and intend to do the same for their operations in Latin America.
