    Abu Dhabi: Rwanda's aviation training centre expands

    Speaking at the Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), Silas Udahemuka, director of the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA), said that Rcatic “is aiming to become one of the largest aviation training institutions in Africa, and that future shaping is the The training facility, which opened in June 2024, marks the beginning of a new era of aviation training in Rwanda. In November, he was awarded an ICAO Trainair and a Bronze membership, and today the accreditation is officially recognized during his signature at GISS.

    ICAO accreditation is considered the key to accessing global expertise, so the centre, which already trains an average of 25 students across Africa per month, has expanded its scope. Masu. As Rwanda's aviation sector grows, the centre has also seen an increase in regional outreach to enhance safety compliance and workforce development.

    By working on the wide range of new emerging technologies within the industry, udahemuka said, “There is no better time to integrate innovation into training than we are now. Therefore, our agency has named it Civil Aviation Training and Innovation Centre. “Aviation organizations must embrace cutting edge technology, including artificial intelligence and unmanned aircraft systems, to be successful.”

    Commenting on the ICAO symposium, Udahemuka, which stipulates that RCAAs will share learning, experiences and engage with global aviation leaders, added: Explore innovative solutions that will shape the future of your industry. This event provides the perfect platform to advance these goals. ”

    In addition to signing with ICAO, RCatic expects many joint agreements to be signed this week with other training organisations.
