Seychelles national airline Air Seychelles proudly announces the successful achievement of its ground operations (ISAGO) and IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certified IATA Safety Audit. Certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in January 2025, these approvals represent important milestones in the airline's ongoing commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Air Seychelles' first Isago accreditation was achieved following a rigorous process that began in June 2023 with a thorough analysis by an external IATA trained consultant. This was complemented by on-site training for key personnel in April 2024 and peaked in an in-depth one-week audit conducted by IATA-trained Isago Auditors in August 2024. The assessment includes key areas such as passenger and luggage handling, aircraft ground movement, and cargo operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Isago is an internationally recognized program designed for monitoring ground processing service providers (GHSPs), highlighting the implementation of standardized operational procedures. By achieving this certification, Air Seychelles demonstrates its commitment to improving performance, reducing risk and aligning industry best practices.
Additionally, Air Seychelles successfully completed the iOSA Renewal Certification Process, an assessment designed to evaluate the operational management and control systems of airlines. This accreditation ensures that national airlines comply with over 900 international safety standards, highlighting the importance given to global aviation safety.
“With Isago and iOSA certifications, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ground operation and ensuring safety and satisfaction for our airline partners, their passengers and our own. This means that The airlines serving the Seychelles will strengthen their confidence and strengthen their position as ground handling agents. Their achievements are also a testament to the team's hard work and dedication, and would not have been possible without them.” Air says Sandy Benoiton, CEO of Seychelles
Air Seychelles has been a member of IATA since 2006 and has an ISAGO registration valid until August 2026 and an iOSA certification until January 2027. Following these periods, renewal audits will be conducted to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with safety standards.
