Flysafair has confirmed that the business will continue without confusion, following the ruling of the South African Aviation License Council (ASLC). The Council has determined that the airline has not fully satisfied the requirement that 75 % of the voting rights are retained by South African residents, but has been given a 12 -month period for compliance. During this time, Flysafair needs to submit monthly progress reports while evaluating options, such as potential adjustments and legal issues.

The conflict was caused by a global aviation complaint, which is trading as a Lift airline, regarding Flysafair's compliance with nationality regulations. Despite the ruling, Flysafair guarantees that the flight is still affected by the customer, and said that the issue was a regulation, not an operation concern. The airline is working on compliance while maintaining an inexplicable service for passengers.
