One of the less known destinations in South Italy is praised for its historical importance, and it is ideal to explore while finding UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Sirakusu, located on the southeast coast of Sicily, is not only the best for getting sunlight, but also a wonderful Valentine's Day vacation that is described as “walking on a love letter page.”

Heather Green (Italian travel operator CITALIA expert), who shares her top holiday spot, emphasized Siracuse in a romantic atmosphere.

She says: “As a place of UNESCO's World Heritage Site, Siracuus is like walking on a love letter page to ancient Greece and Rome, and looks at the scenery of the sea around every corner.”

Heather emphasized: “The rich cultural heritage of the city is clear in the historic center of the city, and it has been beautifully preserved, including the mysterious ears of Titro Greco and Dionusius, which cause ancient temples, A Kei. You can explore the monument.

A travel expert says, “For couples who are passionate about history, Siracuus offers a immersive journey in the classic Italian past.”

Sirakusu was once the most powerful and influential cities in the ancient Greece world. Founded in the 8th century BC, it became a major hub of trade, culture and political power comparable to Athens.

The city has a great heart like Alchimedes, a mathematician and engineer, and its job has a permanent impact on science.

The history of this important jump can be revealed in one of the walking tours to take tourists in time to explore archeological sites like temples and Greece theaters.

Michael, a TripAdvisor reviewer Michael, said, “Sirakusu (Italian Silakusa) was founded by Greeks about 2800 years ago and swimming in history.

“There is a magnificent Greek theater that is well preserved, as with the summer performance of ancient Greek theater, and the theater is a part of an interesting archeological park.

“Sicily was more economical and politically important than today during the Middle Ages and Baroque.

Traveling to Shiracuus is particularly attractive in winter when the urge to escape from the cold intensifies. The weather from December to February is “calm”, according to the climate of travel.

Return flights from London are as cheap as 49 pounds in February and March, so it's easy to secure a break at the Sirakusu last area.

Shiracuus is about 2 hours drive south of Messina's ferry landing and about 45 minutes by car from Catania Airport.
