Aviation experts, government officials, and industrial stakeholders are seeking to strengthen the resilience of African private air sector to reduce future confusion.

Robert Lindsey, the director of the ECA's United Nations Economic Committee technology, innovation, connection, and infrastructure development, states in a statement.

LISINGE stated that it was the focus of the technical workshop and provided a platform to discuss the sustainable strategies of the airline and the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The workshop was held under the delegation of the African Union's specialized technical committee, STC transportation, cross -continent, and the fourth ordinary session of infrastructure and energy between regions.

LISINGE emphasized the vulnerability of the African aviation industry.

“The African aviation industry has faced connections, safety standards, security, profitability, incurable financing, and high operational costs in pandemic,” he said.

He emphasized the need to institutionalization of the use of science and technology in crisis management, such as digital technology, interoperable data systems, and cyber security.

ABDERAHMANE BERTHE, Secretary -General of the Africa African Aviation Association, stated that African Airlines, unlike European and Asian counter parts, lacked existing crisis management frameworks.

According to Berthe, the continental airlines did not receive intentional government support during the COVID-19 crisis.

AUC, the African Union Committee, has urged the African government to provide a greater support to the Continent airline.

NTAGENGERWA has also emphasized the AUC commitment that promotes the adoption of resilience construction framework for aviation sector.

Private air authorities, public and private airlines, and specialized specialists called for cooperation between airlines and government agencies and strengthening solidarity.

They emphasized the urgency of developing and implementing comprehensive frameworks to strengthen the African private air industry in the future confusion.

This workshop has marked important steps to secure more sustainable and crisis on the whole continent.
