43 Aviation School, based in Port Alfred, South Africa, hosted the official opening of the Eastern Cape Aviation School on 17 January 2025, led by Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane and Education MEC Fandile Gade. This launch marks significant progress in the state's education sector through the introduction of specialized programs focused on STEM.

The Eastern Cape Aviation School is part of the province's three-stream model pilot program focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education. Under this initiative, the High School of Aerospace Sciences will be established to integrate aviation-focused research into the public education system. The program is the result of a memorandum of understanding signed between 43 Air School and the Eastern Cape Department of Education with the support of industry experts. The initiative will initially enroll Grade 10 learners from across the province and equip them with skills that meet South Africa's economic demands.

    statement:

“This groundbreaking initiative demonstrates the state government's commitment to providing innovative education and training opportunities, ultimately developing future leaders in all sectors of society,” Bisho's spokesperson said. said Kuselwa Ranjie, the person in charge.

“After 12 years of work, a dream has come true at 43 Flight School. It’s great to be a part of increasing learner access to the aviation industry. We have to do everything we can,” added Ati Neiman, Executive Chairman of 43 Flight School.
