    Worst cause of flight cancellations in Africa

    In its recently released 2024 On-Time Performance Review Report, aviation analytics firm Cirium revealed last year's flight cancellation statistics for airlines around the world.

    In Africa, Kenya Airways had the highest number of canceled flights, with 2,263 out of a total of 46,578 flights canceled.

    Air Seychelles followed suit, with 1,624 of its 16,069 flights canceled. Ethiopian Airlines ranked third with 1,622 canceled flights despite being Africa's largest airline with 151,543 flights.

    Air Algeria took fourth place with 1,570 flight cancellations out of 78,360, followed by Air Peace in fifth place with 1,051 flight cancellations out of 28,819.

    Flydubai, Air Austral, Emirates, Iraqi Airways and Dana Air rounded out the top 10.
