    Aerovolt and H55 team up to advance electric aircraft

    Aerovolt UK Ltd and H55 SA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the advancement of electric aircraft.

    This partnership represents an important step toward realizing the full potential of electric aircraft by addressing key industry challenges such as charging infrastructure and pilot training. By combining H55's electric aviation technology expertise with Aerovolt's robust charging network, the companies aim to accelerate the adoption of sustainable aviation solutions around the world.

    This collaboration focuses on:

    End-to-end electric pilot training: Introducing the first-ever fully electric Private Pilot License (PPL) training program with extensive and reliable charging infrastructure across local and regional airports. Expanding our charging network: We are rapidly rolling out Aerovolt's public electric aircraft charging stations, with more than 250 locations in development around the world, including the United States, Europe and Australia. Both H55 and Aerovolt use CCS, the most popular charging technology, facilitating rapid and widespread adoption. “Plug and Charge” Technology: Using Aerovolt’s proprietary aviation management system, Squadron, we develop seamless software integration for hassle-free charging operations.

    Aerovolt adds H55-powered B23 Energy aircraft to UK fleet
    As part of its commitment to advancing electric aircraft, Aerovolt will acquire two BRISTELL B23 Energic aircraft equipped with H55 certified electric propulsion systems. These aircraft will play a vital role in demonstrating the feasibility of sustainable pilot training, and will join Devon and Somerset Flight Training, based at Dunkeswell Airfield in the UK, and Aerovolt, based at Goodwood Airfield, in the UK. It is scheduled to be deployed at the main base, Squadron Flying Club.

    Together, H55 and Aerovolt are committed to fostering cooperation with airports, flight schools, civil aviation authorities and local governments. By sharing data and insights, we aim to develop new opportunities for sustainable aviation, such as cross-border pilot training programs and long-term partnerships with aviation stakeholders.
