Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe's second largest national park, has announced its temporary closure until the end of February 2025. The annual closure allows for critical maintenance of tourism infrastructure and gives camp staff the opportunity to spend time with their families. Repairs and upgrades will focus on keeping park facilities in good condition for visitors when they reopen.

The closure coincides with the rainy season, when roads are difficult to access and temperatures are high. The park's reservations team will remain operational during this period to assist with inquiries and reservations for the upcoming season. Visitors are encouraged to contact the team via email or WhatsApp as phone connectivity may be intermittent in the area.
