Ghana's President John Mahama has appointed Zifa Abla Gomasieh as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. Mr Gomasie, who is currently the MP for Ketu South, brings significant experience to the role, having previously served as deputy minister in the Mahama government during its early years. Her appointment will require scrutiny and approval by Congress.

Once appointed, Mr. Gomashie will oversee Ghana's growing tourism and creative arts sector, which has gained momentum in recent years through initiatives such as the Year of Return and Beyond Return. These programs have positioned Ghana as a premier destination for cultural heritage tourism, garnering significant international attention and contributing to the development of the sector. Her leadership is expected to build on this success and foster further growth and global recognition.
