There are a lot of managers that you have to do before jumping off on vacation. You must make sure your flights and accommodations are booked. You will also need luggage, travel before and after, or travel insurance.
However, there is another important check to do before you go on vacation. Otherwise, you won't be able to prevent you from flying at all. And it catches a lot of people.
@englandandeveryverywhere Kylie, who shares everything about budget-conscious travel on her tiktok account, shared important advice to anyone traveling to Spain this summer, as there are certain entry requirements you need to adhere to before your trip. Kylie, who has visited more than 51 countries so far, explained that Spain is part of the EU and that there is something called “10 years old.”
According to Kylie, the following are “trips to mainland Spain, trips to the Balearic Islands (Maraca, Menorca, etc.), and the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, etc.).
She added: “The 10-year rule catches most travelers as they must be under the age of 10 at the time of entry. However, if you renew your passport by October 2018, it may have been issued for more than 10 years (up to 10 years and 9 months).”
Travel experts mentioned the gov.uk website.
There are “issue dates” that are less than 10 years from the date of arrival. If you renew your passport by October 1, 2018, there will be “expiry” and “expiry” at least three months after the date you leave the Schengen area (the expiry date does not need to be within the 10 years of question).
Kylie shared an example of a passport that has an issue date for September 2015 but has an expiration date for June 2026.
“The validity period is June 2026, but with this particular passport you will not be able to enter Spain after September 2025.”
It is always important to check the gov.uk website for the latest and most up-to-date travel information. There you will be able to see the latest entry requirements from the UK to Spain.
According to the government website, “entries will be denied if there is no valid travel documents or if you attempt to use a passport reported to be lost or stolen.” However, you do not need a Via to travel from the UK to Spain or other countries in the Schengen region. As long as you travel:
As tourists, as long as family and friends participate in business meetings, cultural or sporting events, attend short-term research or training, staying up to 90 days for an 18-day period
