Low-cost carrier Ryanair has chosen Skyborne Airline Academy as the training provider for the future Flyer Academy (FFA) program.
Once registered with the FFA, trainees will receive a conditional job from the airline and will see them join Ryanair as a second officer after completing their integrated airline transport pilot license (ATPL) with Skyborne.
Skyborn CEO Lee Woodward says the company has been approved by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its initiative, allowing it to be the first time it will offer the UK Dual Aviation Aviation Authority and EASA license.
“We are proud to be able to contribute to the growth of our industry by providing Ryanair with pilots that meet and exceed the highest standards of professionalism and expertise,” he adds.
“This collaboration highlights the growing demand for streamlined routes to flight decks and the extraordinary quality of the airline's cadet program, which consistently generates highly skilled and well-prepared individuals.”
Future trainees have the option to choose AB Innicio, Modular, or airline pilot standard multi-crew cooperation course routes.
“Ryanair's new Future Flyer Academy training program demonstrates its ongoing commitment to supporting, developing and recruiting aspiring pilots for future positions when delivering more than 300 Boeing 737 Max 10 aircraft over the next decade.”
Ryanair's FFA program will be available to trainees based in the UK of Florida and Skyborne facilities in Vero Beach, providing full support from both training providers and airlines.
