Edelweiss, a leading Swiss leisure airline, has announced that it will begin seasonal services to Namibia from June 1, 2026. The new route will run twice a week between Zurich and Windheck on Mondays and Fridays, running until the end of October. The flight will be operated using the latest Airbus A350, known for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
Namibia will become Edelweiss' fourth long-distance destination in southern and eastern Africa, joining Cape Town, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. This route opens up further opportunities for European travelers to explore Namibian diverse products, from the iconic sand dunes of the Namib Desert to the wildlife of Etosha National Park. The new connections reflect the growing demand for unique, nature-based tourism experiences, enhancing access to South Africa's most scenic and remote destinations.
