A reviewer staying at the “Hell Hall” hotel found the reason behind the nickname during his overnight stay. Despite a solid first impression at the Grand Hotel in Scarborough, there was a tall “masculine” façade, with one side a worthy night sleep.

Built in 1867 and now owned by a hotel in Britannia, the Scarborough Hotel was once known as “the largest and handsome hotel in Europe.” Reporter Samantha Teesdale likened it to Buckingham Palace with green carpets, lofty ceilings, lighting, green carpets, lofty ceilings and lighting for Yorkshire Live. However, overnight experience made her contemplate skipping breakfast and running away.

She said the room was equipped with everything you need, including a bed, kettle, terry, wardrobe, bath/shower, but when approaching the hotel, she noticed that windows and bird droppings were surrounded by everywhere, and Segal was swirling over her head.

Once inside the room, a filthy window was hurt by bird droppings, giving hints of future tips.

    She wrote:

“The only downside of the overall experience was the constant noise of the seagulls, which made me think about leaving the hotel early and skipping breakfast.

She was asleep until 8am, quickly packing up to free her room, heading for breakfast, and wanted to leave the room as soon as possible.

Another TripAdvisor reviewer said: “On the first morning we woke up at 4:00, when the sun was rising and the Seagulls decided it was time to feed the chicks, and the sounds were very loud and continuous.

Another Google review entitled “Away from this hell” states:

Express contacted the hotel for comment.
