From June 16th to 22nd, the 55th Paris Air Show took place at Le Bourgette Airport near Paris, France, where over 2,500 companies from 48 countries and regions featured the latest global advances in aerospace technology.
Among the outstanding participants was China, represented by over 70 exhibitors across the industrial chain, ranging from full aircraft and core components to sophisticated materials and intelligent manufacturing. Together, they provided a comprehensive display of China's growing technical capabilities in the global aerospace sector.

China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), which has been regularly present at the show for 38 years in a row, has featured eight major product categories and 30 signature items. Its military aviation displays included fighter jets, transport aircraft, trainers, helicopters, drones and precision weapons. Notable debuts included the first international appearance of the J-35A Fighter Jet and advanced unmanned aerial systems such as the Wing Loong-6, Wing Loong-10b and AR-2000.
On the Civil Aviation Front, Avik highlighted its emergency response portfolio, introducing the AG600's large amphibious firefighter aircraft, the MA60 weather correction aircraft, the wing Loong-2H emergency response drone, and the AC352 medium multi-purpose helicopter developed jointly by China and France. These cutting-edge solutions have attracted considerable attention from international observers.
“From small booths to dedicated exhibition areas showing the entire product ecosystem, China's journey at the Paris Air Show reflects the evolution of followers to aviation's global competitors,” said Abik's representative.
China's commercial airline (COMAC) also has a strong presence, showing the full range of passenger aircraft developed in the country. Regional Jet C909 is currently 15 routes with three Southeast Asian airlines, while C919 Single IsleJet is taking part in large-scale delivery. Two new variations of the C919, the Plateau model and an extended range version, were on display to meet diverse market needs.
It also featured a C929 passenger aircraft, China's first jet-type long-range aircraft, which is still under development. It is expected to fly up to 12,000 kilometers and carry 280 passengers in a three-class configuration.
This year, the Aerospace and Space Society established its first dedicated national pavilion at the Paris Air Show. Zhonghangshangda SuperAlloys Co., Ltd. and Fushun Special Steel Co., Ltd. companies such as have unveiled advanced high-temperature alloys produced using cutting-edge metallurgical technology. Avic Sac Commercial Aircraft Company Limited and Jiangxi Jinghang Aviation Forging and Casting Co., Ltd. Baoji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. exploiting its strengths in the research and development of titanium alloys, establishing a partnership between Airbus and Boeing.
On behalf of China's fast-growing low-altitude economy, representing United aircraft based in Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, southern China, Paris made its Paris debut with models such as the Boy T1400 and Rainey R6000. The company has developed a wide portfolio of distributed platforms with payload capabilities ranging from 5 kilograms to 2 tons, offering agriculture, logistics and emergency relief missions.
Representatives of the company confirmed that they had reached a preliminary cooperation agreement with more than 10 distributors in Europe, Africa, America, the Middle East and South Asia.
The global aviation sector is at a critical stage of recovery and growth. The 2025 edition of the Aviation Human Resources Forecast released by the Canadian Aviation Company CAE Group reveals that the aviation industry will need around 1.5 million new experts over the next decade due to its fleet expansion, increased travel demand and high retirement rates. The Asia-Pacific region is expected to achieve the fastest growth, with 497,000 new personnel in China alone, including 140,000 people.
China is expected to account for nearly 20% of future global aircraft delivery, according to Michel Azal Humoudah, president of CAE's Civil Aviation Bureau. CAE is excited to see China-made commercial aircraft expand into the international market, and CAE's global training network is ready to support this growth, Azar-Hmouda added.
Amidst rising geopolitical tensions and pressures in global supply chains, the importance of resilience and global cooperation was a recurring theme at this year's Paris Air Show.
Chinese airlines have shown their commitment to openness and collaboration. On the first day, COMAC signed a memorandum of understanding between French aircraft equipment manufacturer Safran and US manufacturer Crane Co. for the C929 model.
At a simultaneous promotional event held in Xi'an, Shaankhsi Province, northwest China, the local aviation corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the global aerospace cluster partnership China Hub to enhance supply chain connectivity and cluster collaboration between China and international companies.
Through this engagement, Chinese aviation companies hope to deepen their global partnerships, contribute to the development of resilient supply chains, and promote sustainable growth and prosperity in the international civil aviation industry.
