Taiwan's airline China Airlines has detailed plans to introduce 13 Airbus aircraft into its fleet, including five A350-900s.
The airline also says it will bring in eight A321neos.
Five of these A321neos are raised from US lessors' air leases through transactions worth $240 million.
These involve lease terms between 123 and 143 months.
The prices for the remaining three A321neos “have not been determined yet,” the carrier said in its financial disclosure on June 25th.
China Airlines says the purchase price of the A350S will not exceed $1.965 billion. It adds that aircraft are needed for “long-term operational development needs” to increase competitiveness.
