French Foreign Ministry Travel Warning after EuroStar Chaos | Europe | Travel

A travel warning has been issued for British people heading to France following the Eurostar turmoil. This happens after two people are fatally injured on the train due to cable theft, and more cancellations occur.

UK travelers were warned of “severe delays” on Wednesday, but some Eurostar services will be cancelled entirely. Two people were attacked on a train between the reel and Paris on Tuesday night, prior to the cable theft on Wednesday morning. Some passengers are stuck with at least three trains already cancelled.

As reported by GB News, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “The Eurostar service round-trip to France will be significantly suspended today (June 25th) with some services being cancelled. Please check the operator's advice before your trip.

On Tuesday evening, trains were confused between St Pancras International London and Gaedudord in Paris. The train was also cancelled on Wednesday morning, with one person complaining that his elderly mother was stuck in Paris.

Eurostar recently apologized for “two accidents involving people and total disruption caused by cable theft.” The train operator said: “Our trains could be subject to serious delays and last minute cancellations.

“We recommend cancelling or postponing your trip. We apologize for affecting your journey today.”

Many frustrated passengers are taking them to social media. Some accused the Eurostar of dealing with the situation “inadequately,” while others claimed they were stuck for more than five hours.

    One Britt wrote:

“I will never use this service again after poor communication and experience.”

The second states: “We need a full refund and reward for our tickets. We're stuck on this train for five hours and we have an additional three hours delay.”
