Ethiopian Airlines, the leading aviation group in Africa, has once again been named “Africa Best Airlines” by SkyTrax at the 2025 World Aviation Awards. This is the eighth consecutive year that the airline has won this coveted title.

The announcement came at a renowned ceremony held at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport, where global airlines recognized excellence in service, innovation and customer satisfaction. In addition to the highest honors in the region, Ethiopian airlines have also secured several other awards, including:

    ➢The best airlines in Africa,

➢The best economy class in Africa,

➢ Best business class in Africa,

➢ The best business class onboard in Africa.

These honorable accolades underscore Ethiopian Airlines' unwavering commitment to providing world-class services and strategic investments in fleet modernization, innovation and sustainability. It also reflects the consistent focus of airlines on increasing customer experience and operational excellence across a vast network of over 140 international destinations. ”

Mesfin Tasew, Group Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, expressed pride in the results, saying, “We are truly honored to be recognized once again by SkyTrax as Africa's best airline. These achievements go beyond customers beyond Ethiopian airlines, and beyond the ambiguity of Ethiopia. World-class service and connectivity that bridges Africa to other parts of the world.”

As Africa's flagship airline, Ethiopia continues to play a key role in moving forward the continental air transport industry. With a focus on network expansion, cutting-edge aircraft, sustainability and digital innovation, airlines are setting new benchmarks for global excellence.

The World Aviation Award, known as the “Oscar of the Aviation Industry,” is a highly anticipated event in the industry. The World Airline Awards were introduced in 1999 to provide customer satisfaction surveys. Travelers from around the world will vote on passenger satisfaction surveys from the largest airlines to determine the winner.
