Hainan Airlines has delivered the first Airbus A321neo and has become the latest operator in China of type.
The aircraft registered on the B-32ly arrived at the hub of haikou meilan international airport on June 19th from Airbus' Hamburg facility.
The jet, powered by the CFM International Leap-1A, is configured to seat 204 passengers in two classes: eight business class seats and 196 economy class seats. Hainan also chose the airspace interior for the new aircraft Airbus.
According to data from the Aviation Analytics Company Cirium, the aircraft is the first two A321neos Hainans to add to the fleet.
Hainan currently operates 27 A330s, consisting of a mixture of -200 and -300.
The airline plans to deploy the A321neo soon to meet the summer travel season. Although they didn't specify which routes, Hainan says it will operate over 500 domestic routes. The same applies to 67 international routes during the summer trip.
