Is this the best seaside walk in the UK? Giant beaches, magnificent castles, small pubs | Travel News | Travel

One of the best seaside walks in the UK includes stunning beaches, charming castles and a pub of the amazing village along the way. The route begins in Beadnell, Northumberland, then heads south along Craster, past Newton by the Sea. It takes about 3 hours to walk the 8 miles.

Beadnell is a small village and is loved by water sports fanatics on sheltered beaches. Kitesurfing, kayaking, wakeboarding and more are available here. It is also the only west facing port on the east coast. The southward region is part of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape and is a designated area for excellent natural beauty, covering the 40-mile coastline from Berwick-upon-Tweed to the River Coquette Estuary. Next is Newton Bye Sea, with the small village divided into two. Pub, Ship-In. Beach, soccer holes. National Trust Wildlife Reserve, Embretton, Newton Link.

The pub is a great place to stop mid-stroll. It offers stunning views of the beach and the ocean, and in summer it offers lobster straight from the bay.

To the south of the village is Dunstanborough Castle, a 14th century fortress, located on the coast between the Cluster and the village of Embleton. It was built between 1313 and 1322 and utilized the site's natural defenses and existing earthworks of the Iron Age.

The castle also served as a statement of wealth and influence for Earl Lancaster. He probably only visited the completed castle at once before being captured and executed at the Battle of Borrowbridge in 1322.

Not too far away is the village of clusters. He is famous for his kipper. Kipper is L. It is smoked locally by Robson & Sons and is reportedly popular with the royal family.

The cluster is a quiet village where the Khan Goldang or birds are found at Arnold Memorial Nature Reserve, and local art at Mick Oxley Gallery keeps visitors busy.

The walk ends with Jolly Fisherman from Cluster, a “world-famous” seafood restaurant on the Northumberland Coast.

Most of the seafood comes from North Shields, but lobsters are brought directly from the village port to the pub by fishermen, with a total of about 70 lobsters over the summer.
