Many people are enthusiastically predicting summer vacation all year round. However, the experience of one traveler on a Spanish island has led her to issue travel warnings to fellow holiday makers as she craves a home.
Dannii, known as the @dannii_xo on Tiktok, shared fewer experiences than the star, visiting Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria with 3,747 followers.
In the video, Dannii appears visibly disappointed when he lie down and films himself. The text in the overlay states, “This is your signature to do your research before booking a holiday. I can't wait to get home.”
Her posts hit a lot of chords. Several viewers reflected Daniy's feelings and shared their disappointing experiences in the area.
One commented: “We were there last week. The first day was at Playa Cerry Ingle, going to the beach and (crying the painting).”
They continued: “There are lots of nice dining places to take the bus to Masparoma. The bus to Puerto Rico and the bus to Amadors, the beach is very nice!
Another user agreed: “We had the same feelings,” the third added:
Another individual insisted that “nothing is out there,” but Danny encouraged him to ride the bus either way, asserting her that “she's fine.”
Conversely, some have suggested that she would try Puerto Rico or Melonella and Masparoma instead. Danny replied:
As a user on Tiktok wrote, an additional comment reflected in the Gran Canaria changes was, “It's a shame because Gran Canaria was once a place, especially Yambo – but we weren't 4/5 years old.
Despite reflecting Dannii's sentiment, one of the advocates of the place said:
Meanwhile, someone else simply publicly declared: “I love Gran Canaria.”
Another contributor added: “Playa del Ingles? Buddy. El Chacho from Sakura and Cafe Germany, Germany, Yambo does amazing Mexican food. It's not as boring or bland as you think.”
Dannii then updated her followers by adding details of her holiday struggles and replied, “Fyi: I wasn't talking about the whole island, only in the town we're staying in.
“I booked one trip because I was beautiful on a bus to Puerto Rico and everything is so expensive. I feel like I'm being scamed.
Dannii's experience comes as the Canary Islands have been protesting from locals about popular tourism in recent years. Protests across the island chain have called for action against the impact of excessive tourist numbers, claiming “tourism is killing the Canary Islands.”
Despite these objections and prices surges, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) is reporting a surge in visitors flocking to the canary.
