I stayed in a 3-person choir vineyard producing wine for Jeremy Clarkson - it was incredible

Surrounded by 75 acres, the three choir vineyards are one of England's oldest vineyards in the heart of Gloucestershire. The first planting was in 1973 and now offers wine tasting. This is not only a meal at the Brasserie, but also choose to stay onsite.

The rooms were added in 2000, but the lodge appeared in 2008. Unlike the other vineyards I've been to, this one is open all year round. This means you can experience a freezing winter morning and a warm summer night. I have been to many vineyards over the years, and the three-person choir vineyards were different, more intimate, more welcoming and the best views I have ever experienced.

    Rooms and Lodge

    room

We stayed in one of the lodge rooms. The lodge room is hidden in the grapes away from the main building and other rooms.

This should be one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed. The grapes not only surround the lodge from all angles, but also several ponds and lakes.

When I stood up at the lodge, I felt like I was in the south of France.

They are about 500 meters from the main building so they decided to drive between the two when they weren't drinking and opted to walk other times.

A convenient parking is located next to the lodge, but the main parking lot also has an electric parking lot.

The lodge had a large connecting bathroom with comfortable beds, desk area, TV, wardrobe and separate bath and shower.

Tea and coffee production facilities were also offered, and hot chocolate was also provided.

They also packed with shower caps, shampoo, shower gel and other toiletries.

The lodge was very warm due to the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. So I closed the curtains to stop the heat from halting when I came out of the lodge.

It was a comfortable and comfortable stay and nothing beats waking up to the gorgeous views of the morning.

At the top of the vineyard, there are rooms next to the brasserie, each with views of the vineyard, each with its own south facing patio.

    Food and drinking

Enjoy a selection of tapas dishes such as chorizo, patatas bravasu and haloumi in our delicious onsite brasserie.

Located in the main building above the vineyard, the brasserie is surrounded by quirky wine bottle lights and extremely comfortable seating overlooking parts of the vineyard.

I really enjoyed the food that was very complementary to the wine. We finished our meal with tapas-style pudding and four small desserts.

When it comes to drinking, there is a rather luxurious outside terrace area for sitting and enjoying wine, or soft drinks if necessary.

My favorite wine on offer at the vineyard was Bacchus 2022. The rosé is also delicious with a ripe berry fruit aroma, and is available at Jeremy Clarkson's Farmers Dog Pub.

We were very fortunate in the weather that day and were able to experience sitting outside during wine tasting. This was absolutely delicious.

Brasserie also offers cheese and charcoal grilled boards from May to October, lunchtime on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and full lunch menus on Saturdays and Sundays.

We chose breakfast the night before and headed to the restaurant in the morning for granola, yogurt and compote bowls.

Hot options were available as well as toast, hot drinks and juices.

    Things to do

The three-choir vineyard offers guided tours with wine tastings and lunch.

This was one of the best wine testing experiences I've ever had, and the winemaking director spoke to us and showed us the winemaking process.

He also received insight into the background of the vineyard and its history.

The winery was charming. There we saw the various processes of each wine in the barrel where the wine and brandy are stored.

At the end of it, we were able to taste a selection of wines made at the winery and enjoyed a small charcoal grill board together.

I prefer the taste of wine along with the food, so this was one of the most enjoyable features, but this is not always offered.

We also found that all the wines were delicious. This was the perfect way to decide which one to have with dinner.

In addition to increasing my wine knowledge, the actual wine tasting was a great opportunity to interact with other wine lovers and explore a variety of flavors.

We went on a wine tour and sampled some delicious wines too.

    position

The vineyard location was great for us to travel by car, but if you use public transport, you may need a little more planning.

The Redbury is about 10 minutes' drive, but there is no taxi rank, while the Gloucester is about 30 minutes' drive, but there is a taxi rank.

However, it is easy to find in the car. If you stay at a vineyard, you don't have to leave. This means you can turn on the switch and enjoy the wine.

The stay was very enjoyable and relaxed and I would like to revisit again in the future.

From friendly staff to relaxing lodges to delicious dinners, it was a memorable visit.
