Leadership appointments strengthen Pullman's commitment to inclusive excellence and premium leisure travel experiences
Pullman Cape Town is proud to announce the appointment of Thutukile Moloto as new general manager. A veteran leader with global qualifications and local roots, she returned to Saudi Arabia nearly two years later and served as Cindara, Cindara, Marriott International, part of the Neommega Project in Tabuk Province, Saudi Arabia.
Her return marks a strong “return” for growing hospitality talent, and demonstrates Pullman Cape Town's comprehensive leadership and continued investment in world-class guest experiences.
Improve your leisure travel experience
Pullman Cape Town, South Africa's first Pullman hotel, has established its position as Mother City's premium base, setting a benchmark for guest experiences, design and services. Fully located in the heart of one of Africa's top-performing tourist cities, it continues to attract both leisure and business travelers in search of a dynamic blend of location, style and momentum. With Thuthukile Moloto currently joining the leadership team, Pullman Cape Town is poised to build on its strong foundation and continued success.
In 2024, Cape Town was named a major city destination in Africa (World Travel Award) for the fourth consecutive year. And in 2025 we put our global list of timeouts as the best city in the world, based on feedback from over 18,000 residents around the world, across culture, food, nightlife, affordable prices, happiness and overall atmosphere.
“Pullman merges with business-ready infrastructure and lifestyle-driven design. All of these are set against one of the continent's most iconic backgrounds,” said Willie Williams, Pullman Cape Town, Area Director Sales & Marketing. “Thuthukile will participate not only as an exceptional operator, but also as an inspiring voice within a broader shift to representative leadership across the industry.”
Thuthukile brings over 15 years of trans-work hospitality experiences to Africa and the Middle East, including launching or rebranding senior roles under major international brands such as Marriott International and Protea Hotels. She manages the operations of diverse teams and supervisors in flagship city hotels, lifestyle destinations and large resort projects, demonstrating both operational excellence and guest engagement expertise.
Her recent position saw her major quality tactics within Neom, the world's most ambitious tourism development zone. There, he was responsible for maintaining strict international standards while adapting to new markets. This broad experience shaped her belief that service excellence must be a deep, human-centered innovation with authentic care.
“Working abroad has changed my understanding of what true hospitality means,” Molot said. “When you take that level of detail-driven care and combine it with the warmth of South African trademarks, it's not going to stop, especially in Cape Town.”
As general manager, Thuthukile is committed to positioning Pullman Cape Town as a defining destination for both leisure and business travelers. Her vision focuses on creating memorable guest experiences that incorporate international best practices with authentic local touches, deepening sustainable operations and building an empowered team culture through mentoring and ongoing development. She is most excited to introduce guests from around the world to the essence of her South African mother city and curate her experience at Pullman, which reflects both the city's energy and its unique sense of welcoming.
Thuthukile's arrival coincides with Accor's expanded He Leads Initiative, a global movement dedicated to unlocking women's potential through mentorship-led programming focusing on empowerment, equity and collective progress.
As she gains traction across the region, at a recent event held in Nairobi and Pullman, Jeddah, Thuthukile's appointment highlights Accor's long-standing commitment to building an inclusive pipeline into an executive leadership role.
“As a woman leading a premium property like this,” Thuthukile said.
