I got caught up in the camera as I was trying to get home after sucking up the Spanish sun with a camera that endured the long queue at Alicante Airport.
Tiktok's video has raised concerns among people who spotlight serious crowds, planning a vacation to Alicante and urging questions about potential delays.
One user wrote:
The circulating footage online has sparked concern among holiday people for fear that their travel plans could be destroyed.
Another individual shared: “I'm not looking forward to going home.” The third commented: “Oh, no… Are you so busy?”
One traveler found himself stuck in the stairwell with others who were eager to get home, especially on busy days.
They write: “We were placed in the stairwell of the tarmac at Alicante Airport on Saturday with about 32C, with about 200 people. It was a mess.”
Another person stuck with them said, “I felt your pain, we stood in the plain (sic) for 20 minutes on the tunnel.”
A comment dated June 16th said, “It was horrifying to check out my 55-minute bag yesterday morning.” This situation contrasts with the rapid airport experience shared by travelers last week.
Another holiday attendee was frustrated as the gates were changed multiple times. They made a statement: “My flight went from B26 to B32, B27, then B26 and then B32. I definitely went back to the scene.”
Frequent users of Alicante Airport expressed shock at the queues depicted in recent Tiktok videos. One commented: “I've definitely been flying from here for years.
However, reports suggest that crowds at Alicante Airport have subsided. Because people who traveled late last week and earlier this week pointed out that they didn't suffer from the same hold-up.
One wrote: “I took a walk around the airport on Sunday.
Another agreed: “I passed check-in and security in 20 minutes last week.”
Airport disruption comes as tourism protests continue throughout Spain. Locals were seen squirting water guns with tourists in cities like Mallorca and Barcelona.
Ironically, the water-spewing stunt intended to annoy the travelers brought unexpected relief due to the heat of the heat, and tourists felt calm rather than angry.
Tourist Wanda Drozensky expressed to the perspective of understanding of NPR, saying, “It's lovely, thank you to your lover. I'm not going to complain. These people feel very personal and are probably destroying some areas (in the city).”
