Skywest operates 16 of the E175 under a new annual contract for Delta Air Line. These aircraft are expected to replace the 11 CRJ900s and five CRJ700s currently under contract with Delta, with delivery to begin in 2027.

The solid delivery positions of the remaining 44 E175 carriers will run between 2028 and 2032. The carrier says it intends to deliver these E175s.

Chip Childs, president and CEO of SkyWest, said: “We are delighted to continue to strengthen our Delta partnership and grow our E175 Fleet. This aircraft order will allow us to advance our long-term fleet strategy, strengthen our dual-class footprint, and continue to lead the industry with exceptional products for Delta and their respective Air Force partners.”

“We are pleased to announce that we are committed to providing a range of services and services to our customers,” said Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation. “The E175 is the foundation of regional aviation in North America, and the order highlights SkyWest's confidence in aircraft performance, reliability and passenger comfort.
