    UK “most beautiful town” that looks like a Greek island with yachts and bright blue seas | Travel News | Travel

    With glittering blue seas, yachts and stretches of golden sand, you'll be allowed to think this beautiful beach town is on a Greek island. Devon's Dartmouth is welcomed as the British answer to the Greek Islands, comparing its coastal charm to the Mediterranean.

    Famous for its idyllic holiday destination, Devon welcomes tourist hordes each year, but Dartmouth shines brightest with breathtaking views and offerings. Travel enthusiast Sarah Hagan, known in Tiktok as Sarakagan, is a lyrical and lyrical thing about Dartmouth in a viral video, calling it “the most beautiful town in Britain.” The comment section of her Tiktok post is filled with admiration for Dartmouth's unique charm, with some users screaming “the most beautiful place in the UK I've ever been to.”

    The other is “My favorite view so far!”

    Some viewers were so surprised by the beauty of Dartmouth that they doubted the place.

    Dartmouth seamlessly blends its coastal grandeur and its storied past, not to mention the postcard-worthy port, bustling with a blend of fishing boats and sailing yachts.

    When it comes to seaside excursions, the beaches are often the best in the heart. Stone Throwing from Dartmouth is the Blackpool Sands, a secluded slice of the coastline.

    However, this is not your average seaside spot, but offers visitors a unique opportunity to relax in the seaside sauna. It alternates between refreshing saltwater and a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

    Paddleboards and kayaking can be hired for those looking for adventure. Alternatively, you can embark on a guided tour around the coast.

    Merging with historic architecture and picturesque river locations with the South Devon countryside, you are whisking into a totally different area. Dartmouth Castle should be one of your first stops.

    Dartmouth Castle, which rules the port entrance, may boast the most scenic surroundings of any British fortress. The castle played a role during the civil war and continued to serve until World War II.

    If maritime and naval history pique your interest, then the Royal Naval College, a town where naval officers have been trained since 1863 is a must-see. You can also get a glimpse of HMS Britannia moored on the Dart River.

    A walk around the town will inevitably lead you to Dartmouth Port, the heart of the town in South Devon where moorings of up to 3,000 people can be found during the fall. It is also an ideal place to indulge in traditional fish and chips.

    Located in the bustling heart of the harbour, Rockfish is a seafood lover's gem and offers fresh, local catches that have been acclaimed on TripAdvisor. Diners can enjoy their meals in the picturesque views of Bayard's Cove with a highly rated fish and chip take-out option priced at £11.95 on MSC Haddock and Chips.

    For those who prefer to dine indoors, Rockfish boasts a restaurant with stunning views of the Darts River. Celebrity Masterchech fans may recognize the facility's head Honcho, Mitch Tonks, who previously appeared as judges on the show.

    The menu features plenty of exquisite dishes, including a luxurious assortment of “Fruit Dell” for £37.50 per person, grilled Brixham squid at £19.95, and appetizing rockfish tacos.

    For the refinement, the Michelin Guide recommends the Angels of Dartmouth, known from the BBC's British menu, Ellie Wentworth prepares globally talented dishes. Highlights include £18 Brixham Crab Risotto, asparagus, spring peas and lambjee at £37, and a delightful clot cream parfait for £9.50.

    If you're looking for Tipple, the most frequently done in Dartmouth is Bar 1620, located in the heart of the port. Enjoy a cocktail or two while enjoying quiet time overlooking the town, create your path here.

    The Bar 1620 boasts an impressive selection of cocktails (classic, hot cocktails, and some inventive 1620 concoctions) and a draftmaster barrel system that distributes fresh and coldest pints.
